Each year, the baseball world focuses on Cooperstown during the annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Held during the last weekend of July, the Induction Ceremony draws a yearly average of 20,000 fans to Cooperstown.

The baseball calendar begins each year with the annual Baseball Writers’ Association of America Hall of Fame election. The results are announced in early January.

The Hall of Fame’s Veterans Committee announces its annual election results in December at baseball’s Winter Meetings.
